Charles Edward Brown Obituary and Family Listing Published in the Rochester(IN) Sentinel, Tuesday, May 7, 1974 Charles E. BROWN, 84, R.R. 2, Macy, died at 7:15 a.m. today at the residence of Lester KITNER, R.R. 2, Macy. He had been ill since March 7. Born March 30, 1890, in Fulton county, he was the son of William and Margaret GREGORY BROWN. His first marriage was July 17, 1912, to Gail CARTER. She preceded in death in 1960. His second marriage was to Lena SATTERTHWAITE in 1964. She died in 1973. A retired farmer, he was a lifetime resident of Fulton county. He was a member of the First United Methodist church at Lincolnville. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Emerson (Hazel) SHEETS, Akron; one brother, Arthur BROWN, Akron; one sister, Miss Hester BROWN, Logansport; two step-daughters, Mrs. Harry (Hester) WRIGHT, Marion, and Mrs. Don (Joann) EVANS, Mishawaka; four grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. One son, a daughter and three brothers preceded in death. Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Ditmire-Zimmerman funeral home in Fulton. The Rev. Carl THOMPSON will officiate. Burial will be in the Fulton cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
