Todd County Standard-January 10, 1929 P5 Shemwell, Mrs. Armina, widow of the late Samuel Shemwell, died at her home near Sharon Grove, Todd County, on Friday, December 28th, 1928. Her death was the result of senility. She was born on the 9th day of February, 1838. She joined the Methodist church in her childhood and was a devout Christian all her life. She was the mother of five children, three sons, J.T. Shemwell, and C.E. Shemwell, and S.C. Shemwell, and two daughters, Mrs. Mattie Kenner and Mrs. Kate Glenn; the grandmother of twenty-one children, and the great-grandmother of 19 children and the great-great-grandmother of five children, all of whom survive her besides one sister, Mrs. Fannie Shutt of Greenville, Ky., and one brother, Mr. Fate Shemwell of Walla Walla, Washington. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. B.W. Thornsberry, after which her remains were laid to rest in the Gant Cemetery.
