In the name of God amen. I, Zacariah Shammel of the County of Union and State of Kentucky through the abundant mercy and goodness of God tho weak in body yet of sound and perfect understanding do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to day first I will that all my debt and funeral chargebe paid and discharged by my Executor herein after named.
First I will that my dear beloved wife Jamiarah Shammel during her life or widowhood all my property real and personal to dispose of as she or the Executor hereafter named shall think proper for the use and benefit of the family. There is also one negro girl named Mary which I leave to my dearly beloved son Thomas Shammel for his services done for the family in my absence witness my hand and seal this the 1Oth day of December 1823.
