Center in Peoria.
Born May 6, 1937, in Crofton, Ky., to Presley Seymour and Lorene Bryant Henderson, he married Akiko Hayashi on June 13, 1957, in Kyoto, Japan. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Lorene Fitzanko; son, Shawn; daughters, Mrs. John (Judy) Malavolti, Mrs. Eric (Wendy) Kiefer and Mrs.Robert (Tracy) Hedrick; brothers, John, Noland; half brothers, Harold Fitzanko, William "Bill" Fitzanko of and Delbert Henderson; half sisters, Barbara Fitzanko of Pekin and Eunice Rose; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
His father; his stepfather, Andrew Fitzanko; one grandson; one brother; seven half-sisters; and two half brothers preceded him in death.
He served in the Army as a military policeman from 1954 to 1957. He worked at American Distilling Co. in Pekin for 17 years, retiring in 1977 as a foreman in the pump and filter area of the bottling house.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Paul Odum will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodrow Cemetery in rural Pekin.
