Burial
Gravesite Details: d/o James Madison Daugherty and Eleanor McGehee.
Burial
Gravesite Location and Condition: This cemetery is south of Denton on F.M. Road 2181, across from a new school and next to the Hickory Creek Baptist Church. The land was donated by the Daugherty family, and four members of this family are buried within an area enclosed by four brick walls. They are Eleanor Daugherty, James Madison Daugherty, Rebecca Daugherty, and Robert L. Daugherty. Their names and dates are hand-carved into mortar on top of the west wall, but the carving is now almost illegible.
