I think James is probably Steward who should have been listed in the 1880 Census(4+mo. old). Emily says 9 children born in both the 1900(9 living) and 1910 (7 living) Census.. all are accounted for plus 1… we have 10 including James. He would have had to have been born between March and June 1879. So he would have been a year old during the 1880 Census. James could have died… but you don’t forget a child twice… and also forget a 5 month old child (Steward) in the 1880 Census… In all the census records I’ve entered It’s extremely rare to miss a child. -b
