Death of Joel Morrison. Mention was made in these columns some days ago that Joel Morrison had been stricken down with a stroke of paralysis and was not expected to live. He died Wednesday night, June 6, at the residence of his son-in-law, Jacob Troutman, near Wyckel's station, aged 68 years. He had been sick for several months. He formally resided in Decatur, and leaves a widow and five children, two daughters and three sons. Mr. Morrison was a quiet old gentleman who made many friends and was highly esteemed.The funeral will take place on Friday at 9 a.m. from the Troutman residence services by Rev. H. C. Gibbs.
