Charles O. TROUTMAN, 79, Kewanna, died at 11:45 p.m. Monday at the Rochester Nursing Home where he had been a patient for the past three months. He had been ill for some time.
Born March 25, 1870, at Kewanna, he was the son of Hiram and Mary WARRICK TROUTMAN, and in 1897, he was married to Josephine BARNETT. He was a member of the Kewanna Christian church.
Survivors include the wife, at home; two sons, William F. [TROUTMAN], of Valparaiso and Samuel T. [TROUTMAN], of Gary; a sister, Mrs. Ida MURPHY, Kewanna; a brother, H. P. TROUTMAN, Kewanna; three daughters, Mrs. L. W. BLOCH, Valparaiso, Opal [TROUTMAN], at home, and Mrs. Ralph FLOYD, of Gary; and several grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Harrison Funeral Home, Kewanna, after noon Wednesday. Final rites will be in the Shaffer cemetery, east of Kewanna.

Hiram N. TROUTMAN, 77, died Tuesday at his home in Kewanna. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Christian church there and during the sermon his wife, Mrs. H. N. TROUTMAN, aged 70, passed away, a victim of tuberculosis. Three children, Hal TROUTMAN and Mrs. Leroy GARNER, of Kewanna, and Charles TROUTMAN of Gary survive.
Civil War Service: Enlisted as a Private on 31 March 1862.

Rochester relatives and friends today were informed of the death of a former resident, Thomas W. BARNETT, 59, which occurred at two a.m. today at his home in Connersville, Ind. Death was caused by a heart attack, the message stated.
Mr. Barnett at the time of his demise was superintendent of the Connersville city schools. A number of years ago he was an instructor in the Rochester city schools.
The survivors are his wife; three sisters, Miss Alice BARNETT, Mrs. Elizabeth TROUTMAN, Mrs. Claudia WENTZEL, all of Kewanna, and two brothers, Joseph B. BARNETT, of this city and James BARNETT of Kewanna.

Joseph B. BARNETT, 70, retired farmer and lifelong resident of Fulton county, died late Saturday night at his home, one mile west of Rochester, following an illness of about a year.
Born May 8, 1872 in Kewanna, he was the son of Michael and Mary BARNETT. His marriage was to Ada HENDRICKSON in 1899. He had been a resident of the Rochester community 40 years.
Surviving are the widow; five sons, Edwin [BARNETT] and Roscoe [BARNETT], both of Mishawaka, Dean [BARNETT] and Joseph [BARNETT], Jr., both of South Bend, and Carl [BARNETT], Fort Sheridan, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Hal TROUTMAN, Mrs. Alice BARNETT and Mrs. Homer WENTZEL, all of Kewanna; one brother, James [BARNETT], Kewanna; and 10 grandchildren.
Mr. Barnett's body was taken to the Zimmerman Bros. funeral home where friends may call. Funeral rites will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Evangelical church, the Rev. C. J. COVERSTONE officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.

KEWANNA — Omer B. Troutman, 73, Kewanna, died at 4:55 p.m.
Monday in his residence.
He was born Aug. 7, 1913, in Kewanna, to Hal P. and Elizabeth
Barnett Troutman. On Aug. 9, 1958, he was married at Logansport
to Grace Cohagan, who survives.
He was a retired street maintenance employee for the Town of
Kewanna and a member of the Fathers Auxiliary of the Veterans of
Foreign Wars 1121, Kewanna. He was a veteran of World War I].
Also surviving are a daughter, Trudy Haney, Akron; two sons,
Terry B., Kewanna, and Sgt. Tim B., Fort Bragg, N.C.; a stepson,
James Cohagan, Monticello; three brothers, Dennis and Joseph,
both of Kewanna, and Charles, Murtaugh, Idaho; a sister, Mary
Troutman, Indianapolis; five grandchildren, four step-
grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services wil] be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Harrison-Metzger
Funeral Home, Kewanna, with the Rev. Dennis Ingle officiating.
Burial will be in Barnett Cemetery, Kewanna.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. until
the time of services Thursday in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Society.
