Huron Henderson Obituary and Family Listing Huron Henderson LAPORTE — Huron Henderson, 61, of 1600 Dundee Ave., Elgin, 111., formerly of LaPorte, died at 5:15 a.m. Monday in Veteran's Adminis-tration Hospital, Indianapolis, after an extended ness. He was born in Kew nna, Ind., Feb. 11, 1911, and had lived in this area most o his life. He was employed the George S. May Co., Chicago, and was the leader of a dance band for many years before World War II. He married Cassa L. Putman, who survives, with a son, Sgt. Brock, stationed with the Army in Stutgart, Germany, and a sister, Mrs. Ralph Hewlett of Knox. The Cutler Bros. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Clyde H Henderson Obituary and Family Listing Published in the Rochester(IN) News-Sentinel, Saturday, July 28, 1934 Clyde H. HENDERSON, aged 54, of Kewanna, for several years a teacher in the Lincoln school building, died in the Logansport State Hospital at Logansport at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Death followed an illness of five years duration. Mr. Henderson's condition was critical during the past three weeks. The deceased was born on farm near Kewanna on July 6, 1880. His parents were James and Savilla HENDERSON. He graduated from the Kewanna schools and then took a normal course at Rochester College and at the State Normal School at Terre Haute. Mr. Henderson taught in the schools of Cass, Miami, Fulton and LaPorte counties for many years. His last school work was in LaPorte. Mr. Henderson was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge at Kewanna and the Methodist Church of that city. Survivors are the widow, son, Huren HENDERSON, LaPorte, daughter, Mrs. Geneva HEWLETT, Kewanna, the father who resides at Kewanna, three brothers, Charles [HENDERSON], Fort Wayne, Nolen [HENDERSON], Wabash and Orville [HENDERSON], Plymouth, and a sister, Mrs. Arletta PANDALL of Crown Point. The body was moved to an undertaking parlor at Kewanna where it was prepared for burial and was then taken to the Henderson home on West Main street in Kewanna. The funeral services will be held from the Kewanna M.E. Church at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. O. R. MASON in charge. Burial will be made in the Odd Fellows Cemetery at Kewanna. Jennie B Henderson (nee Wilson) Obituary and Family Listing Published in the Rochester(IN) News-Sentinel, Monday, July 28, 1941 Mrs. Jennie HENDERSON, 56, of Kewanna, died in the Kelsey hospital, Kewanna, Sunday night from brain concussion and internal injuries she received in an intersection collision Sunday evening about eight o'clock. Mrs. Henderson, riding in a 1938 Ford sedan driven by her son-in-law, Ralph HEWLETT, Toto, Ind., who was accompanied by his wife, and son, Ray [HEWLETT], suffered fatal injuries when the Hewlett auto collided with a car operated by Ronald KRIDER, R.R. 2, Culver. ......... Mrs. Jennie Belle HENDERSON, 56, was born in Kewanna on January 7, 1885, the daughter of John F. and Emma WILSON. In 1904, she was united in marriage to Clyde HENDERSON, who preceded her in death seven years ago. The deceased had resided in Rochester for about ten years, before moving back to Kewanna. She was a member of the Kewanna Methodist church and Rebekah Lodge. Surviving are: one son, Huron [HENDERSON], LaPorte; one daughter, Mrs. Geneva HEWLETT, Toto, Ind.; one grandson, Ray HEWLETT, Toto; four sisters, Mrs. Walter WILSON, Kewanna; Mrs. George HARRINGTON, Mishawaka; Mrs. Ray MARTIN, Winterhaven, Fla.; Mrs. Agnes WILSON, Raleigh, N.C; and three brother, Bert [WILSON], Elwood; Charles [WILSON], Chicago; and Hugh [WILSON], Kewanna. Funeral arrangements, as yet incomplete, will be announced in an early issue of The News-Sentinel.
