Greer, 92, of Rt. 1, Kewanna, a retired farmer, died Tuesday in the Miller Nursing Home, Rochester. He was born at Bruce Lake Station June 28, 1876. He was a Spanish-American War veteran. In 1906 he married Nellie Carter. She survives with three daughters, Mrs. Irene Fall, Plymouth, Mrs. Minnie Clark of Kewanna, and Mrs. Hazel Carr of Winamac: three sons, Clarence of El Paso, Texas: James of Star City, and Philip of Peru; 16 grandchildren and 37 great- grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Harrison Garden Chapel, with Rev. Gene Selwers officiating. Burial will be in the Grass Greek Cemetery. He died Aug. 9. 1991. in Big Spring. Texas. Born Sept. 2. 1919. he was the son of Leo and Nellie Caner Greer. In 1951. he was married to Marie McKillop. who died in 1971. He was a retired laborer. Surviving arc one sister, Hazel Carr, Kewanna; and one brother, Bud, Brownwood, Texas. Three brothers and two sisters preceded in death. Funeral services were held Aug. 12 in Geeslin Funeral Home, Alpine, Texas. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. She was born May 19, 1907, at Star City, Ind,. to the late Leo and Nellie (Carter) Greer. She was married on Jan. 27, 1926, to Arvin O. Carr, who preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1987. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers. She is survived by three daughters, Betty Leazenby and Beatrice Ann Clark, both of Newaygo, and Barbara (Jon) Gast of Kewanna, Ind; one son, Don (Mary Lou) Carr of Lakeville, Pa,;18 grandchidren, 29 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren. one step-great-great grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews. Hazel was employed as an operator for the United Telephone Company for over 30 years, retiring in 1972 as assistant supervisor for the Winemac office. At her request cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held at Peasant Hill Cemetery at Lake Bruce, Ind., at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of doner's choice. Falls, died at 10pm Thursday in the Kingston Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was born on Apr 8, 1904, in Fulton County, and lived in the Plymouth area since 1941. On Oct. 30, 1993, in Fulton County, she was married to Ralph M. Fall. He died on May 21, 1978. Surviving are two sons, Cecil of Hayward, Wis. and James of South Bend: two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Phyllis) Stulhmacher of Kansas City, Mo. Mrs. Howard (Jeanne) Bauman of Plymouth: I grandchildren; three step-grandchildren: a great-granddaughter; two brothers, Arthur A. Walsh of Brownwood, Tex., and James Greer of El Paso, Tex., and two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Carr of Winamac and Mrs. Ernest (Minnie) Clark of Kewanna. Three brothers preceded her in death.
