Third husband to Rosella Opal Carter - married on February 6, 1952 in St. Joseph, Indiana. Marriage record states Rosella's name as "Kay Carter". Rosella's name stated on the marriage record to first husband, Hizer, was "Kay Rosella Carter". Rosellla died as a result from an auto accident while she was a passenger in a vehicle driven by her employer who lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree. The driver survived and was subsequently sued by the family. She was born in Winamac to David and Rosetta OSBORNE BUDD. On Nov. 3, 1923 she married Thomas S. CARTER, who died March 27, 1964. On Sept. 19, 1965 in South Bend she married E. Ray BAILEY, who died Oct. 14, 1987. She was a retired beauty shop operator and a member of the Rochester Eastern Star, Rochester Church of Christ, Kewanna Rebekah Lodge and Kewanna Saddle Club. Surviving are five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; eight great-greatgrandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Preceding in death were a daughter, a son, eight brothers and five sisters.
