Name
Donald Earl Sutton Obituary and Family Listing Donald Earl Sutton passed at 81 years young in his home in Escondido, California on Monday, October 23, 2017. He was with immediate family as he wished. Don was born May 28, 1936 in Iola, Kansas. He was the youngest of four boys. From the first day of his life he endured challenges. Every challenge he faced up until his last days were met with intelligence, hard work, and a strong willed spirit to never quit until the task was done and done right. He balanced that very well with his playful spirit that made it very enjoyable in his presence. Throughout his early years he played many sports including football, which was his favorite. He also met and bonded with good friends, including some that are here today. Don enlisted in the Army to serve his country for two years. He put himself through college at San Diego State University preparing for a career in education. During his time at college he met Judy in the cafeteria one day and sparks flew. In 1962 he married his college sweetheart Judy Cram. They were married for over 55 years. Don and Judy raised two "amazing" children. He had a very successful career teaching high school for over 35 years, educating thousand and thousands of young minds. Many of them would still come up to him with famous saying "Remember me?" He almost always did. After Don and Judy retired from their long teaching careers, they were able to travel extensively. Through hard work, dedication, love and structure, together they lived life to the fullest. They just did it right. He will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life was held at the family home 10/29/17.
