Cora V Hoesel (nee Bruce) Obituary and Family Listing Cora V. Hoesel Dies At 90 of Sudden Illness Mrs. Cora Vo Hoesel, age 90, 434 Lakeview St.. Culver, died at 8:30 am. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Parkview hospital, Plymouth, where she was taken by ambulance Friday evening after she suddenly became ill at her home. Mrs. Hoesel was born Oct. 16, 1876. in Pulaski County, Ind. to Daniel and Sarah (Heiser) Bruce. She lived on a farm near Letters Ford, prior to moving to Culver in 1935. She was married to John Lewis Hoesel, in 190, at Winn- mac, and he preceded her in death on March 1, 1957. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Lucille Trvine, and one son, Evert B. Hoesel, both of Culver; four grandchildren; and 13 great- grandchildren, Services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1S. at the Easter- day-Bonine Funeral Home, Culver, with Rev. A. E. Givens, pastor of the Culver E. U. B. Church, of which she was a member, assisted by Rev. C. L. Everett Hoesel Obituary and Family Listing Monday, May 18, 1987 Evert B. HOESEL, 83, of 455 Liberty St., Culver, died at 10 a.m. Saturday at his home. He had been in failing health for a year. He was born Feb. 22, 1904 at Lake Bruce to John and Cora BRUCE HOESEL. On Dec. 6, 1925 in Rochester he married Sadie CARTER, who survives. He moved to Culver 62 years ago from Leiters Ford. He was a retired Marshall County school teacher, having taught for 33 years, and was owner-operator of the Rees Theater in Plymouth. He was a member of the Culver Grace United Church of Christ and the Culver Masonic Lodge. Surviving with the wife are a daughter, Mrs. John (Sandra) MIDDLETON, Culver; two sons, John D. [HOESEL], Culver, and Richard C. [HOESEL], Plymouth; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. A sister, Lucile IRVINE, preceded in death. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Culver Grace United Church of Christ with the Rev. Walter VONDEROHE officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lake Bruce. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bonine Funeral Home, Culver, where the Culver Masonic Lodge will conduct memorial services at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Otto James Bruce Obituary and Family Listing Otto J. Bruce, Veteran Lawyer, Dies at 85 Mrs. Hoesel Receives Word Of Brother's Death Mrs. J. L. Hoesel has received word of the death of her brother. Otto J. Bruce. age 85, of Crown Point, who passed away Friday at the Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. Mr. Bruce was a graduate of Ladoga College, Ladoga, Ind, and of the University of Michigan Law School at Ann Arbor. He taught school in Pulaski County for four years and bad county law in the same office building in Crown Point for the past 60 years. Last November he was honored by the members of the Par Association in Crown Point at a banquet celebrating his 60th anniversary as a practicing lawyer. Surviving relatives include son, Robert Bruce of Crawfordsville: a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Chlagel of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Hoesel. Services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Crown Point Presbyterian Church where he was a member. Mrs. Hoesel, her daughter.
