MRS. WILLA DAUGHERTY
Willa Blanche Mumford, youngest daughter of Charles William and Henrietta Mumford, was born June 25, 1878 in Lucas county, Iowa on the family farm near Lacona. She passed away October 22, 1953.
On Jan. 8, 1905, she was united in marriage to Isaac Daugherty, who preceded her in death in January, 1947.
Mrs. Daugherty joined the Methodist church at the age of 18 years. The greater portion of her life was devoted to the care of her mother, who lived to be 96 years of age.
She has been a resident of this community for 40 years.
She leaves two nieces, Mrs. Everett Loney of Knoxville, and Mrs. Leonard Quigley of Knoxville, and one nephew, Roy Loney of California.
Funeral services were held at the Beardsley funeral home at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. J. Hunt, of the Christian church at Knoxville, officiating. Burial was in the Chariton cemetery.
