Avis V Egbert (nee Graves) Obituary and Family Listing Avis V. Egbert, 92, of Syracuse passed away on Wednesday, May 25th. Avis was born in North Syracuse, to the late, Bessie and Melvin Graves, on Feb. 12, 1930. She was employed at Gethsemane U.M. Church, in Syracuse, for over 43 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard; by her son, Mark, and by her granddaughter, Danielle. Survivors include her son, Daniel (Rykie) Egbert of Sheridan, WY; her 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, and many friends at Vinettte Towers and Gethsemane Church. A service, celebrating her life, will take place Sunday, June 12th, at 11:30 am at Gethsemane U.M. Church, 1700 Butternut St, Syracuse.
