Ottawa - Mrs. Marjorie G. Lewis, 76, Ottawa, died Saturday, Nov. 13 (should be 3), at the home of a daughter in Ottawa.
Mrs. Lewis was a midwife and waitress while she lived in Coffeyville.
She was born June 11, 1908, at McPherson, the daughter of E. E. and Hattie Elizabeth Troutman Strahan. She moved from Coffeyville to Ottawa in 1978.
Mrs. Lewis was a member of Franklin County Senior Center at Ottawa and Rebekah Lodge and Havana United Methodist Church in Coffeyville.
She was married to Carl Lewis in 1937 in Kinsley. He died in 1966. A daughter, Mrs. Velma Lepley, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Beverly O'Connor, Ottawa; a sister, Mrs. Mae Trubey, Rossville; six grandchildren; a step-granddaughter; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Dengel and son Mortuary in Ottawa. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Havana Cemetery, near Coffeyville. Mrs. Lewis will lie in state from 4 p.m. Monday until service time at the mortuary.

Charles O. Troutman, 69, son of the late John and Lurah Troutman, died Thursday, May 17, 1956 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Bishop near Versailles. He was born December 17, 1886 in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1917 he married Grace Bales and of this union were born 5 children. He united with the Rocky Branch Methodist Church in Calloway County. He is survived by 5 children: Francis, Dorsey and Joe Troutman, all of Kansas City, Missouri, Mrs Lucille Bishop of Versailles. and Mrs. Lurah Marriott of St Joseph Missouri; 3 sisters: Mrs. Gladys Couts of Oakland California, Mrs. Hattie Stroham of McPherson Kansas and Mrs. Pearl Alton of Kansas City; 5 grandchildren; 2 step-children. He was preceded in death by 1 sister: Mrs. Essie Bailey and 1 brother: Floyd Troutman.
Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. L.E. Johnson officiating. Hymns were sung by Mrs. Loetta Pace, Mrs. Mary Berkstresser, Edgar Carpenter and Clarence Davis - accompanied by Mrs. L.E. DeVinno. Pall bearers were: Sam Elliott, W.E. Turpin, Cecil Parsons, Speed Marriott and Lee Chapman. Interment in the Versailles cemetery.
