Marjorie G Lewis (nee Strahan) Obituary and Family Listing Topeka Capital Journal, Topeka, KS, November 4, 1984, Page 48 Ottawa - Mrs. Marjorie G. Lewis, 76, Ottawa, died Saturday, Nov. 13 (should be 3), at the home of a daughter in Ottawa. Mrs. Lewis was a midwife and waitress while she lived in Coffeyville. She was born June 11, 1908, at McPherson, the daughter of E. E. and Hattie Elizabeth Troutman Strahan. She moved from Coffeyville to Ottawa in 1978. Mrs. Lewis was a member of Franklin County Senior Center at Ottawa and Rebekah Lodge and Havana United Methodist Church in Coffeyville. She was married to Carl Lewis in 1937 in Kinsley. He died in 1966. A daughter, Mrs. Velma Lepley, also preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Beverly O'Connor, Ottawa; a sister, Mrs. Mae Trubey, Rossville; six grandchildren; a step-granddaughter; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Dengel and son Mortuary in Ottawa. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Havana Cemetery, near Coffeyville.
