JAMES (JIM) EDWARD PUGH

James (Jim) Edward Pugh, 87, of Federal Way, Washington passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, following a year long battle with Leukemia (AML). He was born December 25, 1936, the son of the late Leon Edward Pugh and Lois Louise Pugh, in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
He graduated from Mt. Vernon High School with the class of 1955 and then went to University of Rolla, graduating in 1959 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He further got his masters degree while employed at the Boeing Company where he worked for over 30 years. He also later worked for Honeywell for 5 years. He was a Knights Templar Mason in good standing to Neosho Commandery No. 57 and was a Shriner.
His love of flying was evident in his vocation and personal life. He was a long time officer and member of Northwest Soaring Society and Seattle Area Soaring Society and Thurston County Miniature Aircraft Association. His passion was flying large RC Gliders.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Yvonne Pugh; daughters, Becky Louise Sijer and Margaret Lynn Moyle; son, David Michael Pugh; stepdaughter, Lisa Ann Lara; and stepson, Mark Alan Butler.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Hondolero.
A private family service is being held at Evergreen Washelli in Seattle, Washington.
