Bernis Meidl, 34,

Mrs. Bernis Ada Meidl, 34, died
in Watsonville hospital late Fri-
day afternoon following a heart
attack at her home in Corralitos,
Rt 5, Box 503. A native of Iowa,
Mrs. Meidl had lived in Watson-
ville for the past 18 years and
was a graduate of local schools.
The attack occurred at 4 p.m.
Friday when Mrs. Meidl was pre-
paring to go horseback riding and
had gone to the stable to get her
horse. She was found unconscious
by Ruth Schalow, also of Corrali
tos, who had an appointment with
her for the horseback trip and
who called Mehl's ambulance. Ac-
cording to her physician, Mrs.
Meidl had suffered from a serious
heart condition for many years,
but had improved in recent
months.
Mrs. Meili Is survived by her
husband, Joseph H. Meidl; two
children, Jo Ann and Ronald; her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl W.
Dyke of this city; a brother, Ken-
neth Dyke; ARMlc, U.S. navy,
Florida; two sisters, Mrs. Ernie
Picanso and Mrs. Edward Clai-
bourn, both of Oakland.
Episcopal Funeral services will
be held Monday, 2 p.m., in Mehl’s
chapel with burial in Pajaro Val
ley Memorial park.
