Clapper, loving father of Mrs. Carol Crowder of Richmond; loving grandfather of Susan, Cheryl, and Mark Crowder; loving brother of Mrs. Harriet Dennis and V. W. Clapper; lov- ing son of Warren and Luella Clapper. A native of Zell, South Dakota; aged 52 years. A member of the Havenscourt Colonial Church. William Elwin Asman Obituary and Family Listing Tabor Beacon Tabor, Iowa October 10, 1929 Remains of W. E. Asman, were buried here Sunday ( 6 Oct 1929 ) Funeral services for W. E. Asman was conducted Sunday ( 6 Oct 1929 ) at 11 O'clock at the Hawthorn church by Rev. John Branson of Red Oak. A mixed quartet sang old and favorite hymns of the deceased. Mrs. Lake and Mrs. White of Red Oak assisted with the beautiful flowers. The pall bearers were Chas. Turner, Elmer West, Clyde Wilson, Horace Ewing, J. M. Lake and Henry Wookey. After the services at the church the remains were brought to Tabor where a short, but impressive service was held at the grave and the body laid to rest in the Tabor, cemetery. William Elwin Asman, son of Frank and Marinda Carpenter Asman, was born at Tabor, January 18, 1862 and passed on, October 4th 1929, at his home in Red Oak. On February 15, 1883 he was united in marriage to Harriet Maria Rhode. Mr. and Mrs. Asman began housekeeping on a farm in Fremont county in which county they lived until the year 1910 when they moved to Montgomery county where they have since resided. Besides the wife, two sisters, nine children and 21 grandchildren are left to mourn this great loss. The children are F. D. Asman Tabor; Mrs. W.W. Clapper of near Glenwood; Mrs. V. V. Wyant, Tabor; G. E. Asman Tabor; W. E. Asman of Council Bluffs; Mrs. S. M. Diehl, Pomeroy, Ohio; M. H. and A. H.
