THURMAN —- Funeral services
for Mrs Ada Boone 67 were held
Monday at the Methodist church
conducted by a minister from
Mound City Mo Burial was in
the Thurman cemetery
She was a daughter of Alfred
and Jane Lyons and was born near
Hamburg. Mrs Boone resided in
Thurman for several years and
then moved to Mound City with her
family where she died She was
married to Erastus H Boone and
10 children were born to them
four of them and the husband pre-
ceding her in death.
Surviving are two sons and four
daughters: Mrs Vina Clapper of
Longmont Col, Simpson Boone of
Kirklin Ind, Mrs Rachael McGuire
of Oregon Mo, Maycale and
Frank Boone and Mrs Mabel Jones
of Mound City Mo, 12 grandchil-
dren, one great grandson a broth-
er Chester Lyons of Friend Neb,
and a sister Mrs Allie Garrett of
Hamburg

THURMAN—Funeral _ services
for Erastus Hiram Boone, 74, were
held Wednesday at the Thurman
Methodist church and burial was
in the Thurman cemetery.
He was a resident of Thurman
for several years, later moving to
Mound City, Mo., where he resided
until his death July 30. Mr. Boone
was a blacksmith for 50 years, but
due to poor health he discon-
tinued this work last year. He
was married to Ada Sara Lyons
Dec. 7, 1892, and 10 children were
born to them, four of whom pre-
ceded him in death.
He is survived by his widow,
two sons, Simpson of Kirklin,
Ind., Frank at home: four daugh-
ters, Mrs. Vina Clapper of Long
Mont, Col., Mrs. Rachel McGuire
of Oregon, Mo., Mabel Jones and
Maycale at home; eight grandsons
and one great grandson, one
grandson being in service in
France. Mr. Boone was a member
of the Christian church.
