ORLANDO, FL - Freeda Elverta Clapper Wood went to her rest December 6, 2011
in Orlando, Florida.
She had planned to spend the winter with her daughter in Florida. Her husband
Ralph Raymond Wood died six years ago and they had been married for 71 years.
She is survived by three daughters: Sharlene Sloop, Yakima, Washington, Lois
Thompson, Altamonte Springs, Florida, Lora Welch, Owatonna, Minnesota, seven
grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and several great-great-
grandchildren. A family memorial service is being planned in Florida.
Freeda was born in Tabor, Iowa to Orpha Lorene Dyke Clapper and Frederick
Franklin Clapper on August 12, 1914. She spent most of her childhood in Tabor and
Council Bluffs, lowa. Her brother Glee Howard Clapper went to his rest eight years
ago. She has been much loved by her family and extended family because of her
loving, caring disposition and her faithfulness. She is revered and loved by her
family and will be sorely missed.
