Moses Baldwin Last Will and Family Listing Will of Moses Baldwin >From Parke Co., Book of Old Wills at the Public Library Friday morning Feb 22nd 1833 court meet pursuant to adjournment. Daniel Baldwin came into court and made the following affidavit, to wit, State of Indiana Parke County, sect: Daniel Baldwin Executor of the last will and testament of Moses Baldwin Deceased makes oath that the last will and testament of the said Moses Baldwin Deceased was regularly proven and recorded in the Parke Probate Court and that the same was consumed by fire in the burning of the clerks office of said county and that the record of the same was consumed by fire. Sworn to in open court Feb 22nd 1833 Henry Slavins Commissioner Whereupon the following copy of said will was ordered to be recorded: "In the name of God Amen. | Moses Baldwin of Parke County, Indiana considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being sound in mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following : first. | give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Baldwin all my goods, chattles and effects (land property excepted) to have and to hold and to dispose of at her will and pleasure. secondly. | give to my son and daughter Mary and John Baldwin all of that tract or parcel of land lying in the aforesaid county and state, it being in township fifteen north of range six west and west half of the north west quarter of section eight in the district of land offered for sale at Crawfordsville, Indiana containing eighty acres to be divided equally between them provided that they shall support their mother Mary Baldwin on the said tract of land during her natural life with all the necessaries that may tend to her bodily comfort and convenience. I hereby appoint my wife Mary Baldwin and my son Daniel Baldwin executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills made by me.
