Resident, Dies
Claude A. Arrington, 60, a for-
mer McCulloch County resident,
died in a Van Nuys, Calif., hos-
pital Aug. 21 after suffering a
heart attack.
A veteran of World War I he
was retired from 20 years of duty
with the Los Angeles Police De-
partment. In more recent years
he was employed in the security
division of Lockheed Aircraft Corp.
and Lockheed missile systems di-
vision.
Survivors are his widow, Ethel;
two sons, Claude A Arrington, Jr.,
and Willis both of Van Nuys; and a
daughter Mrs. Viola Fish of Santa
Rosa, Calif.
Also surviving are two sisters,
Mrs. Dollie Watkins of Banning,
Calif., and Mrs. Dora Stamper of
Tujunga, Calif., a brother, Roy
Arrington of San Angelo, a half-
brother, B. D. Watkins of Austin;
two step-brothers, Willie Watkins
of Pear Valley and Claude Watkins
of Tujunga, Calif., and a step-
sister, Mrs. Allen Van Dohlen of
Pear Valley.
Mr. Arrington also was an uncle
of Mrs. Hank Pimm of Brady. The
Pimms and her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Roy Arrington, were visiting
relatives in California at the time
of the death. They attend the
funeral there Aug 23 before re-
turning home.
