The Shemwell Family

Joseph Shemwell Whereas knowing that it is appointed that all men is to die and being weak in body, but of sound mind and memory, to make and publish this as my last will and testament to wit: First, my brother John Shemwell, and myself have been equal partners in the estate of our deceased father by purchase and otherwise, in the management of said estate and the interest and profits arising thereform. Since we have become owners of the same, now I direct that my brother shall pay all the debts and libilities contracted by myself individually and by me and him jointly, and after that is done, I direct and devise all of my property to the said John Shemwell, his heirs, executors and administrators and who is to keep the same for the use and benefit of my mother during her natural life and at her death. I desire that said property together with the increase thereof, shall become absolutely the property of my said brother, John Shemwell.
