It looks like his mother was Ida Williams/Shemwell/Godfrey/(Frigg/Triggs)/Harris and his father was Thomas Shemwell. They were in Tennessee and moved to Missouri. Thomas either died bef. 1910 or Ida left him with the kids, Thomas & Emma and moved to Missouri.
