Note: Referring to the James McGehee Estate Sale held on November 23, 1774.... it is noted that a Mrs McGehee purchased some items. It is assumed that this was Rebecca McGehee (nee Prewitt); so, she would have died after this date. More work is needed to find her actual death date.

Note: Indenture made between Osborn McGehee and James Cardin. The transaction was for 103 Pounds and 5 Shillings, Virginia money, and 187 acres adjacent to a Benjamin Fuller's property. This appears to be the same land that George Alston sold Osborn McGehee in the previous deal.

Death of a motherNelly Lynch Martin
before August 15, 1803 (Age 32 years)

Will August 15, 1803 (Age 32 years)
Shared note: Nathan McGehee Sr Will was written on August 15, 1803. The Will lists the following children: Nathan McGehee Jr, Jesse McGehee, Patsy (aka Martha) McGehee, Robert McGehee, Solomon McGehee, Osborn McGehee, and Miel McGehee. There is not mention of his wife, Nelly Lynch Martin, at that time. It is highly probably that she died before the Will was written.

Will
Nathan McGehee Sr Will was written on August 15, 1803.
