LESTER SHEMWELL The Times Leader Princeton, Ky. Aug. 2, 2000 Lester Shemwell, 85, of Caledonia Pee Dee Road, Gracey, Ky., died Saturday, July 29, 2000 at his home. A farmer and member of Julian Baptist Church, he was born Sept 4, 1914, in Trigg County, Ky. a son of the late William Sanford and Callie Emmaline Morris Shemwell He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Campbell Shemwell on Jan 22, 1996 ; a grandson, Bradley Lamb ; a granddaughter, Kathy Shemwell ; three brothers, Ervin Shemwell, Ewing Shemwell and Lloyd Shemwell ; a sister, Myrtle Burk. Survivors include five sons and daughters-in-law, Don amd Mary Shemwell of Hopkinsville, Bobby and June Shemwell of Nashville, Tenn., Rudy and Linda Shemwell of Christian County, Ky., David and Vicki Shemwell of Henderson, and Darrell and Cindy Shemwell of Wadesville, Ind. ; three daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Ron Williams and Sharon and Jeff Pyle, all of Bowling Green, and Charlotte and Fred Lamb of Caldwell County ; 14 grandchildren, Karen Brashears, Barry Shemwell, Hope Keys, Melissa Outland, John Paul Shemwell, Michael Lamb, James Lamb, Ben Shemwell, Emily Shemwell, Christina Shemwell, Tyler Shemwell, Ashley Pyle, Jason Pyle, Amy Pyle, and six great-grandchildren, Kaleb Brashears, Logan Brashears, Amanda Shemwell, Drew Shemwell, Micah Taylor, Chase Taylor. Funeral services Tuesday, Aug. 1, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz with the Rev Elton Wilson and Rev Don Scott officiating. Burial followed in Flat Lick Cemetery in Christian County, Ky.
