ROBERT W. WEST, 86, of Memphis passed away on May 28 at Primacy Healthcare Nursing Home. Robert (Bob) was born and raised in Clayton, AL, one of eight children. Robert moved to Memphis after he was married to Jo (Conner) West in 1948. Robert had a long and successful career as a salesman for many companies including A.T. Cross, Lenox Candles, Paper Art, and others. Robert was a faithful member of Colonial Park United Methodist Church and a proud alumnus of the University of Alabama. He was predeceased by his first wife Jo in 1982. He is survived by his second wife, Mary Gagliano West, whom he was married to for 20 years. Robert was a veteran of WWII serving in the 2nd Marine Division in the Pacific. He is also survived by his brother Eugene West (Catherine) of Clayton, AL, and his sister Irene West Hodge (Morgan) of Williamsburg, VA, two daughters, Brenda Harshman (Mike) of Germantown, and Lynn Sadowsky (Marv) of Yardley, PA, and two grandsons, Robert Harshman of Germantown, and Andrew Sadowsky of Yardley, PA. Other survivors include his stepchildren, Joe Gagliano (Pam) of Collierville, Cathy Lunati, Mary Jo Arnold (Gene), and Gina Young (Tommy) all of Germantown. He is also survived by his step grand children including Michael Lunati (Jana), Aubrey Adair (Brian), Allison Lunati, Mark Gagliano (Sara), Lisa Gagliano, Lauren Rocconi (Joe), Emily Wooten, Catie Young, Phillip Young, Daniel Young, and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 1 at Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 2 at Colonial Park United Methodist Church, 5330 Park Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119 at 10 a.m. with interment immediately following at Memorial Park. The family has requested that those not choosing to send flowers may send contributions to Colonial Park United Methodist Church in Bob's memory.
