NC (Abstracts of Records of Wills, Inventories, Settlements of Estates: 1771-1802 for Wake Co., NC Page 109 Book D.) Elisha owned Granville Co NC: Land owned by William Shemwell, brother on 3 Nov 1791 in Granville Co, NC. Deed: Elisha Shemwell, brother and heir of William Shemwell, deceased, of Wake Co NC, deed to Elijah Mitchel of Granville Co. NC. Records show that he sold a Negro boy named Jerry on 5 Nov 1792 in Wake Co, NC. Bill of Sale: Sold negro boy Jerry, about 6 years of age to Joseph Brasfield for 20 pounds.
