Tim Troutman, 72, of Kewanna, passed away peacefully at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020, at home. Born on April 13, 1948, in Logansport, he was the son of the late Omer and Mildred (Shaw) Troutman.
He was a 1967 Kewanna High School graduate. Tim was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He later joined the U.S. Army and served in Operation Desert Storm, where he received the Bronze Star and retired from the Army in 1998 as sergeant first class. He retired from Plymouth Tube in 2010.
Tim was a lifetime and charter member of the Kewanna James F. Talbott VFW Post 1121 and a member of the American Legion in Rochester. Tim enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards with Terry and friends, and attending as many sporting events of his grandchildren as possible. He was very proud of his time in the Marines and Army and made many lifelong friends.
Survivors include his daughters, Teresa Davis (David), of Leiters Ford, and Andrea Callahan (Eric), of Winamac; brother, Terry Troutman (Darlene), of Kewanna; grandchildren, Tiffany Rimpler (Garrett), of Winamac, Brandon Conner, of North Judson, Tristan Conner, of California, Whitney Hook, of Winamac, Rylee Daugherty, of Winamac, Meghan Brewer (Jordan), of Mooresville, Kelsey Callahan, of Mooresville, and Brenna Callahan, of Mooresville. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by former wife Sherri Lett, of Kewannna.
He was also preceded in death by sister, Trudy Haney step brother, James Cohagen, and step mother, Grace Troutman.
Services entrusted to Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Metzger Chapel in Kewanna. Graveside service with military rites at Barnett Cemetery.
