Mrs. Harry E. Burns
Fern W. Burns, 77, of 208 South
State Street, died Tuesday evening,
July 10, at Sterling Heights Manor.
She had been in failing health for two
years and seriously ill the past five
months.
Mrs. Burns was born Oct. 20, 1901,
the daughter of Samuel E. and
Centennial Rose Wilson. On June 4,
1923, she was united in marriage to
Harry E. Burns in Yates Center.
Except for four years when she and
Mr. Burns lived in Carthage, Mo.,
Mrs. Burns had lived her entire life in
Allen County. She attended Calvary
United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband of
the home; two sisters, Mrs. E. C.
(Clara) Burgess of Iola and Mrs. H.
A. (Cecyl) Hudman, Pasadena, Calif.,
and nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Arthur B. Mix will officiate
at a graveside service in lola Cemetery
at 10:30 a.m. Friday.
Friends may call at the Friskel
Memorial Chapel which is in charge
of arrangements, until 10:15 am.
Friday.
