Charles Norman Marriott Obituary and Family Listing Charles Norman Marriott, 70, St. Joseph, Missouri, died Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. He was born November 2, 1940 to Norman Waldo and Lurah Irene (Troutman) Marriott in St. Joseph. He remained a lifelong resident. Mr. Marriott graduated from Benton High School and married Nancy Hughes June 18, 1960. He served in the U.S. Army during Viet Nam. Charles served the city as a Firefighter and was a member of VFW #59 and liked to travel and camp. He was a history buff who loved to read and collect coins He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: his wife, St. Joseph; nephew, Raymond P. Hughes (Susan), Thornton, Colorado; niece, Carrie Kay McGinness, Tonganoxie, Kansas; and several cousins. Memorial Services: 1:00 P.M.
