J B Freeman and Ollie Young Marriage
In the 1920 Census, the following items were found:
1. Ollie Young is listed as "Ollie Freeman" and Married
2. J B Freeman is living 3 houses down the street from Ollie and is listed as Single and a Lodger
3. Ollie's first husband, Charles Holder, is listed as Divorced
In the 1910 Census, the following items were found:
1. Charles and Ollie are living in the same household and listed as married.
Possible conclusion (subject to finding a marriage record between J B Freeman and Ollie Young/Arthur:
1. Sometime between the 1910 and 1920 Census', Charles and Ollied were divorced.
2. Ollie is listed as "Mrs Ollie Holder" on her mother's 1916 death certificate
3. Ollie married a Mr Freeman sometimes in the 1916/1920 timeframe.
4. It is highly probably that Ollie married J B Freeman since he was living practically next door.
5. It is possible that J B Freeman and Ollie were divorced prior to the 1920 Census since J B Freeman was listed in a neighbor's household a a Single Lodger.
6. The actual image of the 1920 Census has both a "M" and a "S" written on top of each other for marital status. It is hard to tell if the M or the S is written on the top. It is more probable that the "S" is predominant....and that J B and Ollie divorced before the 1920 Census. |
