Jeremiah Miller Obituary and Family Listing Jeremiah Miller, 84, a retired farmer, committed suicide by taking poison in the barn at his home on rural route 3, Decatur, some time Wednesday. The body was found at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Miller was last seen at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends said Mr. Miller had been despondent since the death of his wife, Mrs. Phoebe Miller, in August of last year. Mr. Miller had lived in Macon county more than 65 years, and was well known. He formerly operated a threshing outfit, and worked on numerous farms in the vicinity of Decatur. Born in St. Thomas, Pa., Aug. 12, 1848, Mr. Miller came to Macon county near Decatur 66 years ago. He leaves one son, William C. Miller, also of rural route 3, one brother, Joseph Miller, of St. Thomas, Pa., and two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Brindal, Larned, Kan., and Mrs. Thomas Cardt, of Wellington, Kan. Four children preceded him in death. The body was brought to the Moran & Sons funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday in the Moran chapel, with burial in the Wyckle cemetery.
