Frances India Large was born in Waukegan, Illinois to Joseph D. Large and Lida Morris (listed on her Texas death certificate).
On October 2, 1920, Frances married Victor Fitzgerald Barnett in Chicago, Illinois. Frances and Victor moved to Tulsa so that Victor could work for Richard Lloyd Jones on The Tulsa Tribune. Frances and Victor had three children, Jean Barnett Rowley, Steele Barnett, and Fitzgerald Barnett.
According to Victor's obituary, Francis was very active in civic and charitable events in Tulsa. Frances went to Houston, Texas in 1962, to Methodist Hospital, to have a repair to an abdominal aortic anuerism. Four days later, she passed away from a stroke. She was cremated in Houston.
