John Aleck Barnett Obituary and Family Listing Published in The Rochester News-Sentinel Thursday, March 2, 1950 John A. Barnett John A. BARNETT, Kewanna, retired rural mail carrier, died at 1 a.m. today at Woodlawn hospital. He was 75 years old. Born July 16, 1874, near Kewanna, he was the son of John A. and Nancy HARVEY BARNETT. In October, 1897, he was married to Nita B. GILLESPIE, who preceded him in death in August, 1945. He was a member of the Kewanna Masonic and I.O.O.F. lodges and a branch of the Rochester I.O.O.F. Survivors include a son, Alec [BARNETT], South Bend; two daughters, Mrs. Edith COSTELLO and Miss Enid BARNETT, both of Kewanna; two granddaughters; four sisters, Mrs. Charles TROUTMAN and Mrs. Oliver SMITH, Kewanna, and Mrs. Candace ZELLERS and Mrs. Bessie SCHIRM, South Bend. The body was taken to the Harrison Funeral Home, Kewanna, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Henry F.
